  • The largest of the four cockroaches listed here, the American species can reach up to 2 inches in length.
  • They are identified as reddish brown and include a yellow/tan “figure 8″ shape on their head.
  • You’ll find these specific cockroaches near pipes or in basements and sewers because of their need for water.
  • They will eat anything from plants to other insects. It is not uncommon for these roaches to bring about bacteria.
  • They shed skin and waste byproducts just about anywhere which can contaminate food.
